Cadillac Escalade

The American Car Centre are always delighted to offer the ever popular GMC Cadillac Escalade. The Escalade first came to market in 1999 in response to the earlier release of Ford’s Lincoln Navigator, the Mercedes ML-Class and the Lexus LX and has since proved to be amongst the most popular and successful full-size Luxury SUVs in The States.

Since 1999 The Escalade has gone through five generational changes, 1998, 2001, 2007 and 2014. The latest launch will be in 2021. Even its best friends will admit that the First Generation was something a desperate attempt to see off competition form the Lincoln Navigator GMC did little more than badge-engineer the Yukon Denali. As such it was smaller and less powerful than its rivals.

Cadillac Escalade equipment

Despite these slight short-comings the Cadillac Escalade came impressively stacked with extras, something that has continued throughout its twenty year history. Amongst some of the standard equipment are Chrome-clad alloy wheels, colour keyed front and rear bumpers, Onstar vehicle telematics, premium AM/FM radio cassette with remote-mounted CD changer, six speaker Bose premium audio system, power-adjustable front bucket seats with driver’s memory system, keyless entry, full in-car climate controls, leather-and-wood-wrapped steering wheel, automatic front head and fog lamps and roof rails with preparation for an optional roof rack.

Entering the digital age

The Escalade has always been at the forefront of innovation. A Hybrid version was introduced in 2007, Bluetooth and state-of-the-art Sat-Nav in 2008 and now, the 2021 Model will include ‘Super-Cruise’ allowing for hands-free self driving.
